ANNUAL STEWARDSHIP DRIVE

October 6th is the beginning of our annual stewardship drive.

“The Gospel invites us to Walk in Love with our neighbor in their footsteps, with the outcast and the marginalized, with those who need us. As we spread the Good News in our world, we carry the love and support of our congregation and our prayers into our communities. When you share your many gifts with your neighbors, every step is walking in love.”

These are words that form the base for the Stewardship campaign this year.

Another year has come and gone without a priest of our own. But we have been very lucky to have Mother Linda and Pastor Rick to serve us for the last 2 years. We are all very grateful for everything they have done for us and hopefully will continue to do. We have met several times with the Diocese (Canon Megan) and with representatives of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church and Emmanuel Episcopal this year as we all continue to try find a solution to the lack of available clergy. So its very important we continue to have a successful campaign this year and hopefully do even better. Just like all of us the costs for the church have been greatly affected by inflation and we continue to try to find ways to pay the bills and still provide services that we can. Starting Sunday Oct 6th we will have the kickoff breakfast after the 9:30 am service. It will be a dish to pass so please come and enjoy some great food and fellowship with everyone. Again this year you will be receiving an insert in the bulletin each week that hopefully will be give you food for thought as you consider your stewardship pledge for 2025. Our Ingathering dinner is going to be Sat Nov16th after the 5:30pm service. All members are invited to attend and enjoy a good meal, good company and a chance for door prizes!
