Beginning May 1st, we will be offering a series of parish-wide meetings to begin the conversation of what it means to be a disciple of Jesus Christ at St. Matthew’s. We will also outline the Diocesan ‘search’ process for everyone. You are strongly urged to come and discuss why we came to St. Matthew’s, what keeps us here, and what we long for as we look forward. We will be specifically asking you to ponder what you need from church. How can we help you grow as Christians in your life of faith? I emphasize that this will be the beginning. This is not the end of our conversations together. It is only a start. We will listen, gather feedback, share it with you, and begin to develop a way forward. All of this will feed into the discernment process that will provide clarity about your next priest, and how you all will “Grow in Christ” together. A light meal will be served.
